Each week, our community gathers together to build relationships, encourage one another in faith, and position ourselves to be changed in the presence of God. We have a time of worship with a live band, a challenging message presented by our pastor (with minimal religious jargon), and time to discuss the morning's theme around tables as part of the service.

In a growing church like Elevation, many people long for deeper connections with people than are possible on Sunday mornings. We have many opportunities to satisfy those longings! Elevation's Affinity Groups are smaller groupings of people who are different in many ways, but have a common commitment to community, spiritual growth, and mission. These groups commit to one another for a year at a time, develop their own characteristic personality, and focus on their own unique themes. We are pleased to have other small groups of people meeting regularly, in what we call 'Focus' groups, primarily because they are drawn together for various lengths of time and share a common focus (same gender, similar life-stage, particular mission or study focus etc.).
Here is a representation of the groups currently functioning within our Elevation context:
Affinity Groups are currently meeting in the Uptown on Sunday evenings, Lakeshore North on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings, Lakeshore on Tuesdays, Eastbridge on Wednesdays, and Columbia Forest on Thursdays.
Various Focus Groups include: A daytime young Mom's group in Eastbridge, Women's Study in Bridgeport North, a couple of newlywed groups, early morning men's groups on Thursday in Waterloo and New Hamburg, and a monthly creative 'communion' service called, 'The Table' on Tuesdays in Uptown Waterloo.
If you are interested in participating in an Affinity or Focus group of any kind, or would simply like more information, please contact Justin at affinity@elevateyourlife.org or Steve at steve@elevateyourlife.org.
Every Sunday morning our children get together to play, learn, and grow with the help of an amazing team of teachers and volunteers. You’ll be able to find a place for your child in one of the following classrooms, located on the second floor:
During the 9:30 service:
| Ages 0-2 | Room 202 | 9:30 - 10:50 |
| Ages 3-5 | Room 201 | 9:30 - 10:50 |
| Gr.1 - Gr.4 | Room 200 | 10:00 - 10:50 (will be dismissed from service) |
| Gr.5 - Gr.8 | Back of Main Auditorium | 10:00 - 10:50 (will be dismissed from service) |
During the 11:00 service:
| Ages 0-4 | Room 202 | 11:00 - 12:30 |
| JK - Gr.6 | Room 200 | 11:30 - 12:30 (Kids Church program - dismissed from service) |
Of course we want the morning to be the best possible experience for both you and your children, so know that we take great care to ensure their comfort and safety. Should you desire to keep your children with you during the service or have siblings of different ages stay together for your first visit, that’s absolutely fine with us!

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES SUMMER RESOURCE PERSON
We are looking for a creative person who loves kids and who has a passion and vision for ministry to children to develop and implement a summer program on most Sunday mornings between May 30 and August 29 for two classes: the Preschool class and Elementary class. This person would be responsible for Bible storytelling and singing songs with the children for 30 minutes per class on a Sunday morning, and for preparing a craft or other activity for the teachers to use during the rest of the class. This position would receive a weekly stipend for preparation and implementation. We assume teachers will manage the class and that the resource person will likely have a couple of weeks off for holidays.
If you are at all interested in this position, please contact Steve Tulloch at steve@elevateyourlife.org or Susan Fish at children@elevateyourlife.org as soon as possible.
The Jr. & Sr. Youth are involved with what happens on Sunday mornings, from passing the offering to serving communion to helping out with the younger kids. They also meet around tables during the discussion time in the first service to talk about the morning's message.
The youth also get together during the week on regular basis, including Friday nights from 7:30-10:00. Check out the Youth calendar to find out what's happening each week.
On any given Sunday you’ll notice a lot of students and young adults who are part of our church. This is largely due to the fact that Elevation actually grew out of a student church called The Embassy, which continues to meet every Monday night. For more info, including service times and monthly themes, please visit their website: www.the-embassy.org
It's our desire to help create an environment at Elevation in which marriages both get off on the right foot and continue to develop and flourish through the years.
